CDC recommends additional Covid vaccine for adults 65 and older



According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), older adults in the United States should get another COVID-19 booster, even if they get one in the fall.


The guidance was released Wednesday from CDC Director Mandy Cohen and the CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP).


The agency recommended that adults age 65 and older receive the "additional updated 2023-2024 COVID-19 vaccine dose" "due to the increased risk of serious illness from COVID-19 in older adults," the announcement said. Read more.....
